Portrait de Louise Cotte

Louise Cotte is a french photographer and visual artist living in Saint-Etienne and grew up in the countryside of central France. Louise trained in visual and graphic design, then specialized in photography and new media, with a master's degree in media archaeology.

Louise Cotte explores photography as a tool for observing and recording reality, viewed as a form of visualizing sensory data. Through her photography, she seeks to capture phenomena, intensities, and perceptible variations in the environment, exploring the image's ability to convey information from the physical world.
Through her research, Louise forges connections between the digital nature of images and the natural landscapes that surround her.

Louise also supports teaching of the Archaeology of Media and Images research program and participates in workshops organized by the team alongside the students.
